A beautiful scenic, 30 minute drive north east of Tucson, lays a sleepy retired mining town, nestled in the San Pedro River Valley cradled in the arms of the Galiuro, Rincon, and Catalina Mountains.

In 1953 this "Company" Town sprang up out of the desert through necessity. Built by the San Manuel Copper Mine Corporation to house the workers. The first residents of the town moved into their new home in December of 1954. Since then, many generations have called San Manuel "Home".

The mine is now closed and the desert has reclaimed the area where machinery and buildings once occupied. The Town of San Manuel has become a "bedroom" community to Tucson. Still a small town with small town attitude, everyone knows everyone and they are happy to stop and chat on their daily walks.

OUR FEATURED VACATION HOME:
Our home was built in 1954, part of the original homes built by the Mine. Built out of concrete block, it was a two bedroom, one bath home. Later the home was remodeled , another 2 rooms and bath were added. Leaving this beautiful home a 3 bedroom, 2 baths, and a den. With a full length back porch that looks out over the Galiuro Mountains.

The front part of the house is decorated in bright colors and fun to be in, inspired by the Mexican Diamond Serape.
If bright colors are not your taste, we have created a relaxing earth tone atmosphere in the back rooms, picked out of the desert landscape.
Come enjoy our full length back porch with table and chairs for early morning breakfast or late night dinner. Also, on the porch, are a comfy couch and chair that you might just want to relax and read a good book. The home is fenced in so bring your family pet..

There are several restaurants in town, within walking distance. Our favorite restaurant is Alma's, which is 2 houses away. She has the best of the best Sonoran Hot Dogs. A golf course and club house is located at the edge of town.

The home is fully equipped. Bring your clothes, food, and a good book.
